      • Tip: When I've used this service, I've had to book my groceries to be picked up the following day, which makes it less helpful as I normally need groceries the same day I realise we are out. But it is still convenient!

    I have personally tried and loved these apps that I am sharing.

    I've always enjoyed couponing. I'm not an extreme couponer by any means, but I do enjoy saving money on things I was already planning on purchasing.

    I have discovered a simple way to earn a quick saving is often by downloading companies apps.

    I will try to explain to you how I use the APP coupons to be the best value for us, but do what works for you!

    The general rules of coupons:

    • If an offer says its "x" off of "y" - then your total has to be over "y" prior to taxes getting adding on. 
    • To make the coupon the most valuable, spend right above what the offer says. example: if you have a coupon for 10 off 50 that's basically giving you a 20% discount. but if you spend 100, that's only a 10% discount off of that overall purchase. (this logic only applies if you are purchasing strictly to be able to use the coupon/discount available)
    • Only stock up on items you will use. I will buy a product in advance if its something I am SURE we will use. For instance, I have used the same speciality deodorant for years, so when I find it at a high discount, I stock up for a few months or a years supply at max. We don't want tons of excess items, and lots of items have expiration dates... 
    • Try to shop using a coupon whenever possible

    Favorite local places: Dog House Grill !!!! This is way across town for us, so being able to get the tasty food delivered is an extra treat!
    Doordash is a 3rd party delivery company that makes connections with restaurants to deliver food that would normally not be delivered. Example: Five Guys burgers.

    You have to enter your address to see what restaurants deliver to your address. Each restaurant gets to decide how much they charge to deliver.

    To make the most out of the $7 off coupon, choose a restaurant that offers free delivery or a low-cost delivery fee (some are $1.99) If a restaurant has free delivery on orders over $15 and you were planning on spending $40 to buy dinner for your roommate and yourself, SPLIT the order into 2. If you did 2 separate orders then you both would be able to signup using the code above, each getting $7 to use towards your first order. (this only works if you use separate credit cards and account info)
    Tip driver accordingly.

    When delivery is beyond awesome...
    1. When you are at home sick
    2. When you are lazy and not wanting to get dressed and drive to pick up food
    3. If the parking at the location is super busy and you just want to avoid that hassle
    4. anytime that delivery food sounds better than cooking!


    DoorDash is awesome to remember when you are out of town at a hotel. We ordered a few times while staying in San Fransico. We have also ordered food to be delivered while we were stuck at a job location that only had expensive food options available at the venue.

    If you are getting food delivered to work and you are ordering from a place that charges a delivery fee, order with a friend/coworker to reduce the per order delivery fee cost per person.

    This coupon gets you $10 off of your first order of pickup, the order must be over $50 BEFORE taxes
    This is only available at some locations currently.
    In our area, Clovis, CA you have to schedule your pickup for the following day because the service is so popular its booked up a day ahead it seems (not always but just plan ahead for this schedule)
    To maximize this discount, order as close to $50 as possible.

    Tips:
    1. Use grocery pickup for the heavy items, make use of having a helper to assist you loading the groceries into your car.
    2. Use this discount to purchase things you can't normally easily find a discount for. - like kitty litter or something that coupons aren't found for.

    SHIPT DELIVERY SERVICE FRESNO CLOVIS AREA

    I ordered my groceries from Shipt! Use my link and get $50 off membership when you sign up! 

    Shipt is a delivery service owned by Target, in my area of Clovis, CA the places you can order deliveries from are VONS, CVS, AND TARGET. 

    This is a decent range of goods for delivery in my opinion! 
    With this special link you currently only pay $49 for a YEAR of delivery fees. The catch is that you have to order over $35 each time, or there's a $7 fee. DON'T waste your money on a fee!!!! buy enough to hit the $35 amount each time. 


    Ordered 2 laundry items for 17.99 each = 35.98
    This purchase of detergent earned $6 credit that I will get after my order is delivered and will show up in my account in up to 48 hours after delivery.

    Purchase 15 Kraft mac and cheese thick for $1 each = 15
    This purchase earns me a $5 credit towards my next order
    Was I originally planning on buying 15 boxes of mac and cheese? No. but will we eat them and would have eventually had 15 boxes? Yes… so this is an example of choosing if its worth it to buy in advance.

    Spending $15 on food I like isn't going to hurt my overall bank account. But buying something that I wouldn't have bought at all normally is a waste. We don’t buy items JUST because they are on discount, they have to have useful to us also. I think it's important to remain focused on saving towards items you NEED vs items you WANT just because of the savings involved.
