Our family's favorite veterinarian (Dr. Bachint) just opened his own office! SHEPHERD PET HOSPITAL. It's in Fresno, right off Chestnut & Shepherd. They are open Monday- Friday 9-6pm & Saturdays 9-2pm. He has successfully performed surgeries and teeth cleanings on our pups along with general wellness care. We trust his input and he's always explained the care options available and let us decide how to proceed forward. We trust him to take care of our babies and hope you will too! The new office number is 559-337-6009 call them to schedule your pet's next appointment.
CREEK FIRE 2020 TIPS IF YOU ARE EVACUATING.
Wednesday, September 9, 2020CREEK FIRE TIPS IF YOU ARE EVACUATING.
please stay safe friends!
- if you have to evacuate and you the ability or time to be able to pack up an instant pot pressure cooker and are planning on having to evacuate to a hotel, if you take your instant pot with you, you would have the ability to cook more meals easily. you could saute (scrambled eggs etc cheap stuff) you could use it to pressure cook meats, rice, beans, pasta, it would be a huge help for being able to cook without a kitchen using something besides a microwave. you could also store stuff inside the instant pot for the car ride to maximize space. Or a crockpot, or hot water kettle (although lots of hotels have those already)
- if evacuating -use a permanent marker to write on your dogs/cats collar your phone number in a large font, so its easier to see your info if needed. when you get into your hotel or where ever you are sleeping, when you get a chance- make sure that you check on your pet's MICROCHIP details. go onto the website that oversees your pets microchip and make sure that your contact info/number is current so that if your pet were to get separated you could be contacted.
- reach out for mental health assistance as needed. contact your insurance company and ask if they have a telephone/video doctor/counseling options available- SOME insurance companies are offering free counseling currently, so check with your providers. you are going through a lot, and we want you to have the support to process.
REDUCE YOUR BILLS COVID
Monday, August 24, 2020The worry and uncertainty of the times ahead are overwhelming at times friends. I cannot deny this. But I encourage you all to KEEP reaching out to your mortgage, car payments, cell phone bills, any credit cards, cable (who wastes money on cable anyways? CUT THAT CORD and get internet TV ) internet providers, auto insurance, reach out to every single one of your bill providers and ASK WHAT THEY CAN DO TO HELP YOU. ask if they can defer your payments, ask if they have a COVID relief program, ask if they have special rates for COVID impacted families. FIGHT for your family! Keep pushing forward and spend the time and effort to fight for the best rates/bills for your family. I believe this is worth investing time in even before COVID, but especially now. I hope and pray that you all are staying safe & sane during these crazy times.
PS. I am missing my teal hair like crazy today! It's just roots and crazy looking right now since I haven't been able to get my hair done due to COVID. I'll take the crazy hair though! It keeps me safe!!!
Discounts & MONEY MAKERS available during COVID19
Wednesday, June 10, 2020This offer is great because you get $200 after spending $500 during your first 3 months. This is easy to spend if you pay your auto insurance, hulu etc. When I do an offer like this, I email myself the details and check-in AHEAD of the offer ending to make sure that I met the requirements to earn the bonus offer. So if I saw I had only spent $450 near the end of the 3 months, I'd make sure to get gas or extra groceries, etc to make sure I hit the over the $500 mark, as $200 is a huge payday!!! Lots of offers require direct deposits, but this bonus is based on spending so its a great one for the average person to qualify for easily. I will post more of these in the future as I continue to try to help you all save money.
Shipt Grocery Delivery service
Wednesday, February 6, 2019Couponing by cutting out money-saving paper clips in a newspaper or by printing them by reliable sources online is a great tool to shop smarter.
My favorite way to save is by utilizing promotional codes.
I stock up on items that I know our family will use. We have the room and enough extra money to prepurchase if the savings is worth it. I always look at the details...
If there's a 30% off promotional code available for only your first order, then I want to maximize my savings by using all of the FREE MONEY SAVINGS that's available to me. If the fine print/details explain that the maximum discount is $20 then I do the quick calculation to find out how much I need to spend (again only buying things we actually need) to get the savings in full.
I jot down an equation to solve... 20/unknown and 30/100 I multiply 20 times 100 = 2000 then divide by 30. so I'd need to spend over or close to $66.66 to get the maximum out of pocket saving of $20 off of the order.
so If I spent 66.66 minus the $20 savings = 46.66.
I try to use these codes in the best way possible. I don't stock up on things I can get easily at a good price at Costco, I instead use the promo codes for items rarely discounted. Like my premium deodorant or our specialty dog food.
