We trust his input and he's always explained the care options available and let us decide how to proceed forward. We trust him to take care of our babies and hope you will too! CREEK FIRE 2020 TIPS IF YOU ARE EVACUATING.

CREEK FIRE TIPS IF YOU ARE EVACUATING.

please stay safe friends!

random thoughts:
  1. if you have to evacuate and you the ability or time to be able to pack up an instant pot pressure cooker and are planning on having to evacuate to a hotel, if you take your instant pot with you, you would have the ability to cook more meals easily. you could saute (scrambled eggs etc cheap stuff) you could use it to pressure cook meats, rice, beans, pasta, it would be a huge help for being able to cook without a kitchen using something besides a microwave. you could also store stuff inside the instant pot for the car ride to maximize space. Or a crockpot, or hot water kettle (although lots of hotels have those already)
  2. if evacuating -use a permanent marker to write on your dogs/cats collar your phone number in a large font, so its easier to see your info if needed. when you get into your hotel or where ever you are sleeping, when you get a chance- make sure that you check on your pet's MICROCHIP details. go onto the website that oversees your pets microchip and make sure that your contact info/number is current so that if your pet were to get separated you could be contacted.
  3. reach out for mental health assistance as needed. contact your insurance company and ask if they have a telephone/video doctor/counseling options available- SOME insurance companies are offering free counseling currently, so check with your providers. you are going through a lot, and we want you to have the support to process.
thinking of you all and praying for a fast resolve and for everyone's safety. thank you so much to all of the first responders out helping and to the civilians assisting too ❤

REDUCE YOUR BILLS COVID

The worry and uncertainty of the times ahead are overwhelming at times friends. I cannot deny this. But I encourage you all to KEEP reaching out to your mortgage, car payments, cell phone bills, any credit cards, cable (who wastes money on cable anyways? CUT THAT CORD and get internet TV ) internet providers, auto insurance, reach out to every single one of your bill providers and ASK WHAT THEY CAN DO TO HELP YOU. ask if they can defer your payments, ask if they have a COVID relief program, ask if they have special rates for COVID impacted families. FIGHT for your family! Keep pushing forward and spend the time and effort to fight for the best rates/bills for your family. I believe this is worth investing time in even before COVID, but especially now. I hope and pray that you all are staying safe & sane during these crazy times.

PS. I am missing my teal hair like crazy today! It's just roots and crazy looking right now since I haven't been able to get my hair done due to COVID. I'll take the crazy hair though! It keeps me safe!!!

Discounts & MONEY MAKERS available during COVID19

first and foremost
I hope you all are staying at home as much as possible and staying safe.

My boyfriend Lance and I have found legit way to make money from home- bonus offers! Bonus offers are available for trying out a new bank or credit card are definitely worth it, and have found some great banking options that we stuck with beyond the bonus offer. I would encourage you to look into this offer and see if this card would be a great fit for you. We encourage anyone to only spend what they can pay off at the end of the month. We think credit cards are a great way to earn extra money back if you are smart about your spending.

This offer is great because you get $200 after spending $500 during your first 3 months. This is easy to spend if you pay your auto insurance, hulu etc. When I do an offer like this, I email myself the details and check-in AHEAD of the offer ending to make sure that I met the requirements to earn the bonus offer. So if I saw I had only spent $450 near the end of the 3 months, I'd make sure to get gas or extra groceries, etc to make sure I hit the over the $500 mark, as $200 is a huge payday!!! Lots of offers require direct deposits, but this bonus is based on spending so its a great one for the average person to qualify for easily. I will post more of these in the future as I continue to try to help you all save money.

Here are some discounts or offers that I've found that I encourage you to look into if they apply to you. Mind you I am in California, so some of these might be local offers.

1. SEE IF YOU QUALIFY FOR A PG&E DISCOUNT: They offer medical discounts or financial need discounts. If you or anyone in your household are on a government assistance program- reach out to PG&E if that's your service provider, to see if you qualify for their discount program that could lower your monthly bills.

2. MEDITATION APPS  It's a stressful time for everyone, these are aiming to help you breathe easier, sleep better, and feel more in control in general. I have found a few offers for meditation apps. I encourage you to do anything that might help you chill out for a moment.
    A. HEADSPACE app is free for a year if you are currently unemployed due to COVID.
Orrrr if you are a teacher free access too!
Orrrr if you are a nurse!

    B. CALM is an app offering a free year subscription if you are an AMEX cardholder.

3. REACH OUT AND ASK FOR ASSISTANCE
A. banks
B. credit card providers
C. cell phone companies
D.mortgage companies
E. cable provider
F. internet services
G. car loan
H. auto insurance
ASK everyone what assistance is available to help you. I know that various companies have a wide array of assistance available that is only offered if YOU ASK FOR IT. Don't be shy, this is a time that everyone is struggling and I know that reaching out and getting ahead of it can help you out. Some are able to waive monthly fees, some can delay payments if you are currently in a rough patch. Reach out, use the help that is available. Try to reach out to your friends too, try to help them if you think they might need an extra push. I know money is a stressful topic, to begin with, but keeping ahead of issues is always ideal.

4. CAR INSURANCE lowering your miles driven
If you are sheltering in place, or currently working from home instead of commuting to a workplace, check in with your auto insurance and see what options you have for lowering your driving mileage, some states offer a parked car option- but this is only going to work if you have groceries delivered and plan on not driving at all.... so most people are better off just lowering that milage.

More discount offers and money-making opportunities will be posted soon!

Shipt Grocery Delivery service

Shipt is a legit delivery service owned by Target.
I live in Clovis & regularly get groceries delivered same day from Target. The annual fee works out to be about 4 bucks a month and totally worth it. I LOVE going to Target, but I often forget what I was supposed to buy while there...
After you pay for your membership, shipping is covered if you order over $35. For my address, these are the stores available to shop from: Target, CVS, & Vons. I often order in the morning for dinners ingredients to arrive by lunch. I'm at home sick often and this service has been so helpful. I have tried Google Express, Instacart, and this one is my favorite. I shop using the promotional section to get some savings. They often have offers where it's like "buy 20 of ___ section & get a $6 credit on your next order" so I make sure to check out all of those extra areas for extra savings!

Dog food discounts

CHEWY.COM details (owned by PetSmart)
www.chewy.com has discounts for your first autoship order.
The discount is 30% up to $20 off. To maximize your savings available that would mean you'd need to spend $66.66 or more to get the full $20 discount taken off of your total.

PETCO
Maximize your available savings of 20% off your first order by ordering $100. Since the maximum discount is $20. Take advantage of not having to load and unload heavy dog food or kitty litter and get it delivered instead!
after you take advantage of the first time order savings Petco also offers a 10% discount if you order online and pick up items in-store. This is a better offer than PetSmarts 5% discount for buying online and picking up in store.

PetSmart
Buy online and pick up in store for 5% discount. Not huge savings, but it's better than nothing! Every little bit saved adds up!!!

Amazon
go to Amazon to learn more about their offer as its pretty specific in the items that qualify.

Google Express
Sometimes they email out codes for special offers. This last week I had one for 30% off at Target, and since Target carries our dog food (Blue Buffalo Adult) We were able to make an order and save that way too.

Overall, when you find a dog food that you like, figure out how much it costs you per pound and then shop around accordingly. I know that I've been inside PetsMart and saw something cheaper online (on their own site) and they price matched it for me. I'm not sure of their official policy on this, but they've been very helpful to me in the past.

Promo Codes

There are many ways to save money.
Couponing by cutting out money-saving paper clips in a newspaper or by printing them by reliable sources online is a great tool to shop smarter.

My favorite way to save is by utilizing promotional codes.
I stock up on items that I know our family will use. We have the room and enough extra money to prepurchase if the savings is worth it. I always look at the details...
If there's a 30% off promotional code available for only your first order, then I want to maximize my savings by using all of the FREE MONEY SAVINGS that's available to me. If the fine print/details explain that the maximum discount is $20 then I do the quick calculation to find out how much I need to spend (again only buying things we actually need) to get the savings in full.

I jot down an equation to solve...  20/unknown and 30/100 I multiply 20 times 100 = 2000 then divide by 30. so I'd need to spend over or close to $66.66 to get the maximum out of pocket saving of $20 off of the order.

so If I spent 66.66 minus the $20 savings = 46.66.

I try to use these codes in the best way possible. I don't stock up on things I can get easily at a good price at Costco, I instead use the promo codes for items rarely discounted. Like my premium deodorant or our specialty dog food.
